FM3 ..... External 3 Button FSW .... will this one work ?

Hey all !

Please see this Digitech FS3X 3-Button Footswitch -> here

Given it operates all 3 switches from one standard TRS Cable, will the FM3 recognize all 3 switches or just 2 of them ?

the FM3 can have 2 switches per Pedal Jack or 1 Expression pedal. so not 3.

The FS3X uses unusual wiring. You may get unpredictable results if you try to use that 3rd switch.

Fc6 didn’t work with that style wiring, don’t think the hardware understands the unique configuration as it’s designed for basic TRS

Didn't work for me, I have the same one. Best to get a couple of Boss 5L switches.

I had a similar pedal for a Johnson Millennium amp (also made by DigiTech).

Inside it has some diodes between the switches. Some proprietary method to allow 3 switches over TRS.

If you want to repurpose it, you could redo the wiring to allow 2 switches to work...
