Has any of you tried out the new pedalsized poweramps, caliber22 or magnum44 ?

I run a pair of 22 calibers with my axe-fx in a stereo guitar cab configuration and I really like them. They are surprisingly loud and they work surprisingly well for me.

Obviously they aren't right for every application. Here are a few points:

* They break up the harder/louder you drive them. With guitar cabinets, the onset of breakup hasn't been a problem for me and is perhaps even a little desirable.
* They will not handle 4 ohm loads except at low volume. The amp will shut off. No problem running 8 or 16 ohm.
* They have a bright switch that comes in handy when you need a little more bite.
* They weigh almost nothing, do not get hot and can be powered with a laptop power supply if you lose the supplied unit. They also work OK with pedals in case you need an emergency rig.

I've done a few shows and a lot of rehearsals and I'm very satisfied with them. I'd recommend them to someone who wanted to use the axe-fx with guitar cabinets while not needing bone crushing loud volume. They're loud but they aren't 100W tube amp loud.

If you have any questions, let me know.
