Dual axis exp pedal

I'm thinking heel toe for vol boost, left to right for delay.

Or for dual amp patches, left clean amp, right morph to dirty amp, heel toe for volume.

Seems cool but I wonder how difficult it will be to be precise on left to right. I'm very tempted though!
 
That's like the old retro volume-tone pedals used by pedal steel players. up-down was volume, and side to side was a passive tone control like on the guitar. Cool application of a vintage design.
 
Great idea. It's like a keyboardist having their left hand on the bend and mod wheels at the same time. A centre detent would be cool.
