Could use a little help from the guru's.

I sort of TL/DR the thread, but in case no one else has mentioned this, instead of attaching EXT 3 to the Synth volume, put a volume block after the Synth block, and attach EXT 3 to the volume block instead. For the scene that you want it to be on, just bypass the volume block and set the bypass mode to "through."
 
Hey Poparad. Sometimes terminology is confusing. I'm not using a synth block. It's a Roland GR-55 guitar synth. If I read you correctly that's the same idea that Bill thought would work and it did. Thanks.

Oops. Duh. I have a GR-55, too. Same principle, though. Just attach your EXT 3 to a volume block on the line that your GR-55 is running, and bypass the volume block on the scene that you want it to be 100% on.
