Cool ideas for CPU usage

I use the Axe Fx II XL and I am considering the AX8
Here are some ideas I came up with to reduce cpu usage and retain the same quality as my XL:

1. Assign the boost in the amp block to a footswitch. This can eliminate using the RC booster or a ts pedal to boost your distorted tone. It sounds great on my patches. You can save roughly 13% of the cpu.

2. Use the band delay instead of two dual delays. The band delay has 4 separate delays with time, feedback and mod. I can get the same multi delay sounds with one multi delay and save about 10% of the cpu.

3. Use an EQ as a booster.

4. Assign the input trim to an exp pedal to adjust your boost in real time. Cool!!

Hopefully this helps anyone reading. And please correct me if any of this is not possible with the ax8 :)
