yes, it helped but can't get that palm muted staccato tightness. just not the right amp. if I palm mute trem pick on any string its killer until it gets to the lower strings. The plexi 100w gets the closest to what I'm looking for.Did you try the input EQ low cut as mentioned? That’s the fix.
My first thought. A boost cleans up the flubbiness on tube amps. Of course you get the added gain. Or PEQ to dial out the offending frequency or frequencies.Have you tired a dry boost pedal in front?
