Barracuda flanger

I came across this old thread. This is one of my favorite rock guitar tones of all time. I’ve studied the song and tracks and not only is it a flanger but the key to the tone is how the two tracks complement each other. The song can be played with one guitar but it’s not like the epic studio mix. It’s raw but for 1977 it’s brilliant work. Howard and Roger play different guitars through different amps but they sound very similar. It’s important to figure out exactly what each is playing and then the two tracks are magic. I’ve been working on this one and intend to do a detailed tutorial by early next year that goes through each note of both tracks and the effects. It’s a great insight into guitar collaboration, use of effects and mixing tracks.
PS - of course Ann’s voice is the bomb!
