Just so that I don't misunderstand, when you say "Existing presets are automatically updated to the new parameter values upon recall." does this just mean that once the new firmware is loaded, once we select and activate a preset, it will load the new values?

and.. is there a way to do this globally and quickly?

No need to do it globally because it will always load the new parameter values each time you load an older preset. It will keep doing that if you never save that preset. Once you save the preset it is saved and doesn’t need to update.
