Axe Edit on Ultra

I know I had read somewhere that people were talking about how it can be difficult to get the old Standards and Ultras midi'd into an interface for Axe Edit .... I am on an iMac on Yosiminitsdd------I have the Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 and literally just slid my Axe Fx into my rack, got it powered up, found a couple cables to flip the outputs in to the Focusrite. I rustled up a couple short midi cables, plugged them in, downloaded Axe Edit and literally, I've never used Axe Fx before, Never played in Axe Edit .. unoboxed it all and had it plugged up in about 5 minutes ... The focusrite performed flawlessly as the midi 2x2!!! Up running and connected in like 40 seconds! Thank you

I had a MIDISport 2x2 that I used with my Ultra before I upgraded to an Axe-Fx II. It worked just fine, even with the MIDI-OX utility whenever Axe-Edit was unavailable at times. I guess the USB interface in the Axe-Fx II has most of us spoiled!
