any guesses as to when the 'next generation' of Axe-Fx will come out?

Any thoughts on when the next generation of Axe-Fx might be coming out?

I see that the Mk 2 XL was announced in January 2014.

What do you think? Something coming along soon, or???

Years from now. Cliff has stated it over and over, we've got atleast 2 years probably much more, and that's assuming that cliff has some enormous revelation, on top of some revolution in the hardware field, with high just doesn't look likely at this point.

Yeah it was only a couple weeks ago Cliff came right out and said there are no plans for the Axe III for at least two years. He has not even began to work on it.

Probably never now that they are phasing out the tiger sharc processors the axe fx II uses!

If it's like last time I bought an AxeFx then I'd say 5-6 months (I am not bitter at all..... )

When I bought my Ultra in 2010, it was a year before the AxeFX II was announced. That said, Cliff has stated categorically that an AxeFX III has not yet even started the development stage, so I'd say a II is a safe purchase now.
