Fractal Audio Systems is proud to present a very special collection of user cabs and presets from James Santiago, a giant in the world of guitar tone. James, the Vice-President of Voodoo Lab, has been "obsessed with tone" for decades, having had many unique opportunities to indulge this fancy during his years as a product specialist for Guitar Player magazine during what he calls "the Golden Age." A phenomenal guitar player as well, James has also amassed an incredible hand-picked collection of guitar gear. In this first installment of a series of tones he is creating for the Axe-Fx, he presents two rare speakers, captured definitively and yours to download, free!

FYI, with those downloadable presets and IRs you can recreate the sweet tones from Santiago's single "Family Tree":

https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/family-tree-single/id534849987

P.S. Buying that tune would a nice way to thank him for making these valuable IRs available I think, hint hint. :)
Buying the full tune will let you listen to his awesome lead tone.

What I like about the combination of these presets + IRs + song is that together these provide a great 'reference' (from a pro) for our own tonal creations.

Great idea, supporting artists!
Now to check the patches/irs out!

Question: Using preamp before FX2 or after? Or just when making ir's?

I'm a tube preamp dummy I guess... Dont own any..

Awesome! Nice product page as well. These sounded incredible in the room at Axe-Fest when James played "Family Tree". I bought it as soon as I got home - wish he had more available. Thanks for getting these posted!

Just bought it from iTunes, thanks for the link M@. James happy birthday, I would love to craw around in your mind. James you need to put your stories in a book, I'd buy it.

iTunes track downloaded, makes me look forward to working with his IRs. Thanks and Happy Birthday James. Thanks M@ and FAS for providing the access and link to James' work.
