Controlling Pedal Switcher with MFC or Controller IA

I don't know much about MIDI but I was wondering if the MFC or another foot controller similar can control analog pedals inside of a MIDI switcher so that one could program an IA switch to a loop inside of a pedal switcher. Anyone try this?

How much space is left in the Axe-Fx II?

I wouldn't be surprised if pickup modeling was next. Maybe not tuning and instruments but I see a high quality alternative to whats already out there from L6 being possible.

Thanks for sharing guys. Sounds like I don't have to go too far into the rabbit hole to get to any particular preset or CC with the MFC and its expression pedal and extension inputs.

How well does the linking work between the MFC101 and other MIDI units? I'm in the phase of planning out my Axe FX II setup and I was wondering what I could theoretically program a board to do as far as having a secondary MIDI controller for Looping/etc. I've seen a few MIDI boards on here...
