Having 150w and having 6x Mesa 6L6 (or EL-34) instead 4 wouldn`t be a different sound or is it like the same ?
multi watt with serial loop or older one?Had a triple for years and hated it. I think most people gravitate towards the dual which has less headroom and more bounce to it.
Had a Triple in the early 2000s. Must have gotten a lemon as I had to bring it to Petaluma for warranty work multiple times (they said the shielding foil was melting and shorting out the amplifier... so fix it?lol) eventually got rid of it as I was tired of dealing with it.
My favorite Mesa amp was a late 90s Dual Rectifier Tremoverb. That thing sounded amazing. I stupidly sold it when I stopped gigging for a while and never did get another that sounded as great as that one.
Bummer.
Mine is a "Sell an internal organ first, before you sell the amp" kind of amp.

A lot of people consider the Tremoverb to be the best iteration of the rectifier series of amps. There's something with those Tremoverbs, I've played a few and the sounded better than other Rectos to me.

I had a late nineties Rect-O-Verb 50 watt combo, looked almost identical to this. I should have never sold it, although TBH with the Axe I don't know how much it would get played.Bummer.
