Full commital to the AxeFX: How long did it take you?

7.xx did it for me -- before that selling it was on my mind because I just thought I didnt have the sufficent knowlage to tweak it to my liking. Now its as plug and play as ever untill the occasions when I feel like being adventurouse. Still a couple of sounds I need that I havent found yet but...

Anyone have a dynamic high gain patch (like EVH)?

on my highest gain patches (for things like Zak Wylde and Killswitch engage) I have my gate almost at nothing and get no noise or only a teeny bit. My Pups are EVO2 and Breed neck.

cheers voes :) good news since i can only find 3 midi cables! I know how to turn on midi merge but how do you connect it up so that both the pedal board and the computer interface is hooked up to axe fx. I am guessing some sort of use of 'midi thru'?

This is probably the most noobish question but I know I need a cable going from midi out of fcb to midi in of axe fx but do i need the midi in of the fcb to the midi out of the axe fx? is the fcb actually recieving anything from the axe fx? also whats the cable configuration for using the...

Strat + Cornford + FET boost (Warning: Pop, NO METAL!!!)

Sounds fantastic. Listening to all the strat clips on here makes me GAS for one, axe seems to sound so cool with one.

Looper Routing Help

Oh!? I didnt know you could use the xlr and 1/4 at the same time! .. this means I can hook up 8 different speakers! Its going to be a bit wierd with one half of the sterio signal for my rcf art though (instead of summed mono). As usual thanks for all the help java :)

Looper Routing Help

It is set to thru (by default). Its not terrible since obviously im not going to be using my monitors live, I was wondering if there was a better way to do the routing for this though?

Thats a bit odd the patches I made sounded worlds better without tweaking. When you get some time give it another try - it may be worth it.

it was really a general question for everyone so I can get an answer like "yeah sure I get similar sounds all the time through my FRFR system its definatly possible" anything to prevent the GAS pangs of getting a Power amp and Cab (or 12 just for the versitility :P )

About to buy an FCB and get an UNO http://www.ossandust.be/index.php (hopeing that site is a reputable one?) could anyone tell me if its an easy intallation and if there is any soldering required. Midi noob here!

I would DEFINITELY pay for a DVD! I could use all the help I can get. The advantage of a DVD over Youtube videos would be audio quality, you could hear the subtle differances much better for certain paramiters. Then there is quality control etc. In short I would love someone to make an indepth...

bass sim octive pedal

I have doing some looping and I want to loop a phrase with my acustic for the bassline so I need some sort of bass sim. I am using the pitch block set to octive divider but am not sure how to make it sound right, it is sounding kind of synthy. is this the best way to go about it?

Skid Row I Remember You solo anyone come close?

Dam you! I had never heard any of Skid Row's stuff but now you have got me addicted to this song! Regarding tone, this is coming from a total noob but I would experiment with a lot of parallel routing to maintaining the clarity of the dry guitar.

Guitar Vocals and Looper Pedal Routing

Apologies I just rechecked the wiki and found out I can use the front input and input 1 right -- at the same time. Is this the best way to use the looper pedal since I want to be able to keep a loop of a clean guitar sound and then add distorted over it.

When talking about the GEQ you say bypass it but dont replace it with a shunt. Surly the two would sound the same?
