stream 2 amps over usb?

So I've done scratch guitar tracks with the FXII before. Just stream asio input into Reaper. But is there a way to stream 2 different "amps" if you will? I'd like to have an hot/gain track and another clean/direct track, all just through USB if possible. Thoughts?

phantom power midi over 7 pin

I ended up using the Rocktron 5 to 7 pin midi cable that you can plug the power into. Works fine.

I did get my Axe FX II used so there is a chance that the plug was over powered on the axe fx. this is quite likely considering the power supply and cable do work. and the pedal uses pins 6&7 for power. I'll get busy with my multimeter to test

phantom power midi over 7 pin

So I want to power my midi foot controller (Peak 4 button unit). It takes a 12v supply, polarity doesn't matter and must be 200mAh or more. I plug my 12v positive tip, 1A power supply into the back of the Axe FX II and connect a 7 pin midi cable to my footswitch and power on the power supply...

this used to work flawlessly. but now I've updated to quantum and now I can't hear anything through my phones. Using FAS USB ASIO driver and ins/outs look fine. probably a setting in the axe fx.

effect like a sonic maximizer

Now I don't know what exactly these sonic maximizers do, but I do know if you over use it, it'll make your tone sound all scooped. But if used in small amounts, it can be useful for some actual amp setups. I was wondering if there is an effect in the axe fx that mimics a sonic maximizer.

pitch block issue

I'm trying to add a intelligent harmonizer to a preset. I want it "on" all the time. But when editing the pitch block, I don't get any pitch effect for fixed or intel harm. I can choose the other types and they effect the pitch, but not when I choose intel harm. any idea what I'm overlooking?

rebuilt my axe fx 2 rig

I've replaced the Matrix GT1000FX with a Mesa 2:100. I sold my MFC101 and Mission pedals and now use a Behringer FCB1010 controller. What does this mean? I have a bunch of extra cash in my pocket now and I'm much happier with my live gig sound. But I have a heavier rack to lug around...

headphones much louder in FW17?

6 hours? Incredible. I would like to know more about the deeper editing of blocks. I tend to dial and leave it. I still don't understand scenes and how they're used. An example of making your own IRs.

Axe-Fx Name timeout!

I had Name Timeout errors with some cables. I switched to a shorter run and I no longer have name timeout errs. Try a short run cable to eliminate that as the problem

I tried 2 different 50' cat5 cables and neither worked for the MFC101 but work great for my gaming computer. lol I've switched to 30' and it works great.

I disassembled ethercon ends and comdfewpare them and it looks like a straight cable to me. So I'm stumped as to why this 50 foot cable solution does not work with MFC 101

I think the cable they sent me is a crossover cable. That would explain why it partially works (power, channel select but no name or tuner). I've asked them to verify since I can't compare the wires because the ends are covered by the ethercon sleeve

So I had them replace the 50' cable I had and that new one does the same thing. My MFC works fine with shorter Ethernet cables, but it seems the long ones are a problem in that I get "name timeout" and the tuner button doesn't work, etc..

can you guys point me to external switch?

I just need one little switch with LED indicator. I want to enable/bypass the filter block with a switch. I tried it with my simple hosa latching switch, however, I don't like it without a light indicator. Is there any switches with on/off indicator lights that work with the MFC101?

Mission pedal wah off?

so I set the off val to 5% and it does turn off with heel down. is there a way to get it bypass whenever I stop using it (no matter what position it is in)? this pedal doesn't have a spring return so I don't want to accidentally leave the wah engaged

So I have a Mission EP1. No spring option so it just lays where I leave it. I have auto eng on for the wah block however, when I'm done moving he pedal, the effect stays on. So if I leave the pedal toe down, it's a trebly tone. If left heel down, it's more low end. How do I get it...

Alternative to MFC pedal for $100 or less?

My fav midi switcher is the Peak unit. You can program each preset/channel change to also send a bunch of CC changes as well. [FCB4N2] Programmable MIDI Foot Controller (Ver2.0)

So I run through a Matrix GT1000FX. Sounds great by myself at a normal volume. But last night I used it in a 5 piece metal band and my sound lost most of its balls. Seems to be my experience with solidstate amps so I'm thinking the Matrix is my problem. Anyone else have the same experience?

how to control filter block via mfc?

so I created a preset. and I needed a volume boost so I took advice found here on the forum and added a null filter block with +4 DB output gain. But how do I get it to show up on my MFC so I can switch it on and off? (sorry if this should be in the mfc discussion)

MFC won't update

decasta, I couldn't get it work over usb to midi and MIDI-OX or with Fractal Bot. I kept having trouble. But I tried using the AXFX as a USB to midi adapter and MIDI-OX and it worked fine (well, first time failed with Error 6, but the 2nd time worked) Yeks MFC-101 How-Tos page - Fractal Audio...

MFC won't update

Error 17 when trying to update mfc101 fw

never mind. found it in the manual: 17 Invalid Manufacturer ID The image is for a device that is not manufactured by Fractal Audio Systems. Verify that the correct firmware image is being transmitted. If the image is for the correct device, then the image may be corrupted

Power amp modeling when using matrix amp and guitar cab?

I'm pushing my AXFX2 into a Matrix GT1000FX and then into a vintage 30 loaded 4x12. Are people using the power amp modeling with this setup or do you turn it off? I was in the global menu turning off the cab stuff , but I think I like the poweramp stuff on. What say you forum?

My MFC-101 didn't come with it's power supply, so: I know it's 9vAC according to the MFC itself. But how much power? 400mah? What polarity? Negative tip? Anyone?
