Taming Boomy Low-End On Certain Notes

If it is a room resonance, which it sounds like it is then the only way to tackle it without treating your room (which would be the ideal) is to place a PEQ block after the cab and put a deep cut at a high Q on the offending frequency (search surgical eqing in google). The bass related controls...

How many amps do you actually use?

Dirty: Orange RV50 Cornford MK50 Clean: CA3+ Vibroverb Every now and again I'll swap one out for another that's similar but I would estimate I only use 5-10% of the amp models available. I'm fine with that though :)

I really don't like being a tease...

Most Underrated Amp Models

I'd be interested to hear peoples' opinion on which amp models in the Axe-Fx they feel, for whatever reason, are the most underrated. I'm always seeing plenty of praise for the plexi, the BE/HBE, the Mesa's, the various 5150 types etc .... and rightly so, but some great amps don't seem to get...

Do you hear what I hear...here?

Check where the 'Air' parameter in the Cab block is set. Anything above zero lets through a percentage of the pre cab signal (ie amp without cab or bypassed cab sound). It's effect is most noticeable in the high end and may account for what you're hearing. CAB (block) - Axe-Fx II Wiki

Low/High Cut Vs. Power Amp Low/High Cut (Adv Page)

Does anyone know of any benefit to using either of these over the other? I've always gravitated towards the ordinary low/high cuts but I noticed that the 'Amp Voicing' control alters the power amp low/high cuts, making me think these are perhaps the more powerful parameters. Anyone have a...

Amps that have surprised & impressed you in V10

For me it's the SOLO 100 RHY. I could never get on with this amp before, I found it too bright, harsh and unforgiving. However with V10, although it's still bright, crisp and edgy it seems to have lost it's harshness. Anyone had any similar experiences with amps they had previously written off?

Thanks guys!! Yea you nailed it, noise gate settings where different, didn't even know they were there!! You mentioned copying the whole preset? How is it you do that? I've always thought it had to be done block by block :?
