    Thanks for your reply! Well, I tried to listen through the headphone output of the mixer instead (with headphones) and the difference is much less. Could it actually be the acoustic effect from the strings? Panning the channels in the mixer also created differences. Well well....

    Hi, please see my connection drawing. When I compare the "live" sound coming out of my monitors to the recorded audio in Logic I think it sounds more "distant","dark","muffled". Anything obvious I'm missing?

    I enjoy my Axe Fx and I enjoy playing through real amps as well. To me one doesn't necessarily have to rule out the other. The Axe has IR capabilites and great effects. Why not try to use them together?
