    The fan does make a constant noise (I have had mine for over 5 years), and is a little louder than the AF3 fan, but not noticeable at any where close to band levels, or loud enough not to hear your strings acoustically. I usually just go FRFR when I need to be quiet at home.

    A TS cable works best from the FM9 to the PS170. I have found that a TRS causes a hum. You have to use a speaker cable from the PS170 to the cab.

    You can also control the relays per scene change with out a dedicated block. You don't have to use a relay block unless you want to specifically stomp it in a preset. I do both with my Mark 5:25, and it works great.
