I currently use an Axe Fx II XL thru an Apogee Ensemble thru Mackie HR824s. Sounds amazing at my desk at low volume as well as high volume levels. But I have to admit it is when I add my dual Lexicon Sig284/MPXG2 rigs with the stereo volume controls at low settings thru dual SB210 cabs. I get a true stereo feed from the tube amps and from the Axe Fx thru the Mackies. It sounds incredible even at low volume so that you can speak and be heard by anyone in the room, carry out a conversation even. I love loud guitar amps but quality over quanity.
