That is what I have found on my FM3 also. However, I mostly use high gain amps, so maybe the cleaner stuff is different. I have found it best to scrap my presets, and reset the amp block and start over. The old sounds dont necessarily translate well.

No sound/audio when making preset

You need to connect the IN to the OUT on the grid to get sound.

I am actually finding I have to use far less bass. It naturally sounds thick and chunky without cranking the bass, depth, and output EQ.

I like to use the output compressor type feedback at about 1, or use the cf compression to about 10% for some more of that more fluid and aggressive feel.
