Wow an 83 page thread. I had no idea that when I introduced everyone to Matrix amplification that this would take off in the way that it did. I even explained to the inventor why guitar players with an Axe FX would want such an amp. I am pleased that this has all worked out.

Very cool setup. Can you trigger sounds inside the pc as well? Also I hope you share those patches as it sounds like you know how to dial "that" tone in perfectly.

What did you kick in to get more drive in the middle of the solo? How are you running it with the Cornford? Sounds excellent. Also that suspended rack looks pretty heavy. Isn't it time for a light 2U???? :D

I keep coming back to this amp. I am using what I think is the stock Beefy Rythm patch, which is the Wrecker 1 going into the Cali 4x12. There is something sooooooo realistic about this amp model, I can't put my finger on it. There is such a nice low end, that I almost want to dial out in fear...

Best SS Power-Amp

What is your budget? The Lab Gruppen would certainly do the trick at 14,000 watts, ha ha. You could also look at some of the Powersoft amps, 1 unit and very powerful.

Well if you don't believe certain power amps will add some "magic" element or at least add a bit of detail, then sell your Brystons and replace them with a cheap "neutral" alternative. You can come back and tell us how there is no difference in the sound. Rubbish.

I need your support! Which FRFR?

D&B audiotechnik Max 12 or if you are using only 1 wedge than Max 15 (bigger but also bigger sound). They will have dealers in Austria. They are very very very very very good.

Yes you are right. And I probably should have listened to you. It was a major hassle. However those new drivers look they are begging to be pounded with huge amplifiers and I just can't help but wonder.....

I know I sound like a broken record. Buy a pair of these http://www.prosoundservice.com/Product_ ... BC-12CXN76, I have even seen them cheaper at other places in the US. Have someone build you some wedge cabinets. You will also need crossovers. And these will be so good you will probably never...

Not completely satisfied with the ART SLA-2

I have to agree with the previous two posters. I haven't tried the ART poweramps, so I am only having a guess here. It would seem as though they don't have quite enough power. However, the fact that they are 1U and affordable is still a very good advantage. If you are getting the sounds you like...

looking for the perfect tube amp for the axe???....

Yes that would probably be one of the best tube power amps you could get for the AXE. Very well made with tons of headroom. The 400 or the 395. The weight would be a pain but it might be worth it. That with the AXE would be one killer rig. It must sound amazing. I am jealous. Now you have me...

price difference in Europe...is this crazy?!?!

In the UK the made in Italy equipment like RCF and B&C is for some reason much higher priced than the rest of Europe. I could never figure this out.
