Loud enough playback level in DAW, but still lots of headroom...

I use Fireface and the level of my guitar in Total Control matches the output in Cubase. I mention this since I don't think the issue you are describing is related to Total Control or Fireface. As you already mentioned, that signal doesn't utilize your computers sound card. I thought MNG's...

Death Valley road trip

Took a road trip through the eastern Sierra's and Death Valley. This tune is sort of a Brian Eno goes camping with Ry Cooder kind of thing. It picks up about half way through if the ambient part drags on you. Fall From Grace on Vimeo

Thanks for the tip, I will look for Simeon's patches. I havent done much AxeFX wise since the II came out. Its been pretty much plug and play. I'm still on V2 :) Henry Robinett is on here as well. Great to hear you have another project on tap.

I didn't have my headphone jack situated good when I listened to this. My apologies, I shouldn't post before I have had coffee in the morning :) Sounds much better now.

I like the harmonic progression and voicing's you are using. If it were me I would remove the phase shifter from the cymbals. It is occupying the same space as your guitar. Also EQ the cymbals differently. Would be nice to hear more toms. Perhaps give them some compression so they jump out...

Death Valley High Plains Drifter Ambient Guitar Tune

Axe FX II quad tracking

Maybe I'm not understanding the issue but if you record the first guitar won't it already have the cab IR on the recorded tracks? If so you would be re-amping a cab into another cab? You could record the tracks with no cab then apply the cab IR's in ProTools as a plugin. I demo'd some cab IR's...

FENDER TWIN REVERB / DRIVE LOW LOW LOW but STILL BREAKING UP / ANY ADVICES ?

Master at 9 and Drive at 4 and its clean. Perhaps it is the humbuckers.. they might require more headroom because of their output. Maybe Input Trim?
