Im pretty sure the ZW-44 was basically a super overdrive with more bass. I would just use the SD-1 block and up the bass eq in it to start. Im pretty sure he set the gain to 10 or 11 oclock and the level to 1 or 2 oclock, tone in the middle or slightly on the brighter side.
