Paired with the Lerxst RNR A, Greenback imp curve.... holy shit balls.I'm a modded Marshall guy and the FAS Hot Rod is utterly out of control. I would buy that amp if it existed IRL.

Put 6550's in a 5150 block and go. Change the cabs to change the flavour.
If you want to go a different route, put a rat and/or pi fuzz into a clean fender into a 412.
I have never found a high gain 6L6 amp I liked very much.
Anyone have a high gain model suggestion with EL34’s as a non stock substitution?
maybe not el34
but try the Uberschall w KT88
the DZL w KT77

Try them in everything. I ran EL34's in my old mesa roadster (recto) and thats when I learned I want high gain marshall, not high gain mesa.
The cab IR will make a big difference too. Example: pull up a 5150block amp, and try a GB 70s marshall cab, an orange v30 cab , and a mesa recto standard cab (412/sm57). Try each, try blending, mess with smoothing and proximity in the cab block.
Then try the jcm800 and cab of choice with the rat drive block in front.
Try some of these mods on the Brit 800 or Solo 100 model for some chugga-chugga fun.
