Your favorite Van Halen Tunes (DLR years)

Sixstring

Legend!
Ok, hopefully something fun that doesn't attract any trouble, I grew up on Early VH stuff DLR years. I was thinking back and thought it would be fun to see your favorite VH tune from each album. So heres the deal you can pick only 1 (ONE) tune from each album so it has to be your absolute favorite.

Here are mine...

Van Halen - Atomic Punk
Van Halen II - DOA
Women and Children First - Could This Be Magic
Fair Warning - So this is love
Diver Down - The Full Bug
1984 (1984) - Drop dead Legs

My list looks IDENTICAL to yours. Seriously, that list is perfect. LOL Weird. I just got to play "The Full Bug" at work last night...and it rocked!!

I'm the one,
Light up the sky
In a simple rhyme
Hear about it later
Hang em high
I'll wait

Van Halen - Atomic Punk
Van Halen II - Somebody Get me a Doctor
Women and Children First - Could This Be Magic
Fair Warning - Hear About Later
Diver Down - Big Bad Bill
1984 (1984) - Panama

Great topic, I've been a VH fan since around 1980. Most of my favorites are kind of under the radar (relatively). I think Dirty Movies is my all-time favorite VH song, and I don't believe they have ever played it live.

On Fire
Light up the Sky
Fools
Dirty Movies (Mean Street is an extremely close second, almost a tossup)
The Full Bug
Drop Dead Legs

Im the One
Outta Love Again
Tora Tora/Loss of Control
One Foot out the Door
Drop Dead Legs/Top Jimmy
The Full Bug

Big DLR VH fan...

I'm hoping that I can add another from their new one when that comes out. :)

Van Halen - Atomic Punk
Van Halen II - Beautiful Girls
Women and Children First - Take Your Whiskey Home
Fair Warning - Dirty Movies
Diver Down - Secrets
1984 - Drop Dead Legs

I'm amazed that nobody mentioned Eruption ! …when it was first released (really showing my age now) it was amazing/ground-breaking for its time.
Also Panama is a great track !
Just like to say that in my opinion Eddy was a real innovator – one of the greats !

I think it's because they were favorites at the time but are kind of worn out by now due to extreme overplaying. Eruption is one of those tunes that you hear people playing in guitar stores that almost gets the same reaction as Stairway or Smoke on the Water. Jmho.

Very true :lol, .....but I can still remember the reaction when it was first released ! :shock

Women and Children First - And The Cradle Will Rock...
Fair Warning - Unchained
Diver Down - Little Guitars
1984 - Jump

though it is hard to pick just one from each!

Isn't it though... When I thought about the idea I thought it would be easy, then I started going over the tunes in my head and there was so many songs that were so killer it was pretty hard to pick just one tune from each album.

Van Halen: On fire
Van Halen II: Spanish Fly
Women and Children First: Romeo's Delight
Fair Warning: Sinner's Swing
Diver Down: Hang em' High
