IRs York Audio presents the ZILA 212 in .Wav format! New website!

Third-party impulse response pack
Thanks man! It took a lot of work, but I'm really happy with how it turned out. Gotta figure out why the homepage images look right on desktop and mobile, but shift on iPads and laptops. It all works as expected, just gotta figure out why the images want to drift. Oh well. All things considered, it's a small thing to correct.

I haven't used Wix but it looks like styles for a larger screen are being used when the screen size is less than 980px while on desktop. I would see if you can add additional layouts for smaller desktop resolutions. Usually with breakpoints you'll see the design switch between mobile and desktop layouts when you adjust the browser width on the fly, but here I need to bring up the dev tools and emulate a mobile device for those styles to trigger. Hopefully that can help you track it down.

I purchased and installed with 11.02b today - I'm looking forward to digging in a bit over the break.

Does anybody have any favourite guitar-amp-cab-style combo so far using this pack?
Anybody using them live?

@York Audio ,

I love the 57+160 mix (Mix 05) in the Bogna pack.
Any particular reason why the 160 is less prevalent in this Zilla pack?
There isn’t a particular reason for that. The 160 has become my favorite ribbon mic as I keep working with it and is more prevalent in newer Cab Packs. I imagine that if I went back and made more mixes for the Zilla that I’d use the 160 a lot more.

Oh yes. The 160 (with and without 57) has been my favorite too, for a long time already.
Suggestions for 57+160 mix settings?

I made a few mix suggestions using an amp I already had up at the time. In the Bogner Mix you mentioned, the 160 is the predominant mic, so you may want to duck down the 57 to taste to get something more in that ballpark. Here's what I got with the Zilla...

In all cases, I used the Align tab and nudged the 160 back by 1mm. This takes out some sizzle that happens when blending two MPT IRs.
H75 57-2 + H75 160-3
V30 57-4 + V30 160-4
H75 57-OA 1 + V30 160-4
V30 57-2 + H75 160-5

As a fellow fan of 57+160 mixes, I can say these all sound excellent. The fourth one fit particularly well in some of my pre-existing presets.

I'm so excited about this new chapter in York Audio's story. Check out my NEW WEBSITE with four new cab packs in .wav format at www.yorkaudio.co
I'm having a Site Launch Sale right now!

I've had this cab for well over a year and have shot it at least six times, but never felt like it was quite right. I wanted to honor the cab, so I played it a ton and got it sounding great. I took my time learning its sweet spots and the complexity of the V30/Creamback relationship. It's an extremely diverse cab with an incredible amount of tonal variety between each individual speaker and the BLND mixes.

The York Audio ZILA 212 Cab Pack is based on a Zilla Fatboy 2x12 cabinet loaded with their classic combination of Celestion Vintage 30 and Creamback H75 speakers. The Creamback hits like a hammer with punchy attack, woody midrange, and a smooth top end. The Vintage 30 is aggressive with tight low end and bite to cut through a heavy mix. With a throaty pick attack, this cab loves high gain and low drop-tuned guitars.
Single mic captures and multi-mic mixes are included for each speaker as well as speaker blend mic mixes.

Mics included in this Cab Pack:
57 - based on a Shure SM57
421 - based on a modern Sennheiser MD421
906 - based on a Sennheiser e906
SM7 - based on a Shure SM7b
121 - based on a Royer R-121
160 - based on a Beyerdynamic M160
414 - based on an AKG C 414

Really digging the Zilla 2x12 factory cabs with Mesa Mark series amp models in my AxeFX3. Can't wait to try these out!

Site looks great, BTW....

Suggestions for 57+160 mix settings?
57+160 is my go-to pairing, with 57+121 or 57+313 as an alternate when necessary....

I mix the ribbon down 4 to 7 dB, so that it fills in the deficient low end of the 57 just a bit, but still leaves the signature 57 sparkle in there....

@York Audio I don’t suppose you recall offhand which (if any) of the Blend Mixes uses a 57/121 combo? 🙂
From the manual:

BLND (V30 and H75 speaker blend) Mixes:

Mix 01 - H75 57 + V30 121
Mix 02 - H75 57 + V30 121
Mix 03 - V30 57 + H75 121
Mix 04 - V30 57 + H75 121
Mix 05 - V30 906 OA + H75 160
Mix 06 - V30 906 OA + H75 57
Mix 07 - V30 SM7 + H75 SM7
Mix 08 - V30 57 + V30 160 + H75 57 + H75 121

From the manual:

BLND (V30 and H75 speaker blend) Mixes:

Mix 01 - H75 57 + V30 121
Mix 02 - H75 57 + V30 121
Mix 03 - V30 57 + H75 121
Mix 04 - V30 57 + H75 121
Mix 05 - V30 906 OA + H75 160
Mix 06 - V30 906 OA + H75 57
Mix 07 - V30 SM7 + H75 SM7
Mix 08 - V30 57 + V30 160 + H75 57 + H75 121
Thank you! I was also curious if the 121 went on the Creamback and the 57 went on the V30 - seems both are represented here. Mix 2 has been my go-to so that is interesting.

I somehow missed this manual you speak of when I bought the pack midway through last year. I always assumed I was asking for secret info with stuff like this. Mikko gives his mixes cute names like ANGRY or MEATY but hardly ever tells you what mics were involved. I use my ears of course, but sometimes curiosity gets the best of me. Thanks again.

Every pack I've downloaded contains a PDF manual.
