Just some feedback on this setup that I just picked up to use in my small studio setup for use with the AXE FX II XL, and for general DAW mixing and listening.
Room size is 15' X 23' with 8' ceilings and these are setup on one end of room facing the shorter width.
Overall very impressed for use with the AXE FX, but also for general audio use, and listening.
Balanced, detailed, large soundstage, and easy to listen to.
I am sure there are better setups out there, but am very pleased with the all around capability of these.
I was using a pair pf KRK Rokit 6 monitors and they were OK, but sounded sort of muffled and overyhyped the bass IMO, and strained at higher volumes in comparison.
These Yamahas have plenty of volume without sounding stressed at all and the sub is awesome to fill out the lower end.
Pretty nice setup for not a big investment.
Anyway- I give them a thumbs up. LOL.
