Hi All,
Ive got a Freyette 2/50/2 power amp, a speaker cabinet that is 16 ohms (8 ohm 15 watt Celestion blue and an 8 ohm 30 watt mojotone wired in series), and a fractal x-load.
I can set the freyette to 16 ohms. the cab should be capable of handling 30W. And I never take the power amp past 50% (clean playing only, minimal overdrive). But I’d like to use x-load as extra insurance. However, if I understand right, it can only be used at 8 ohms.
so here’s my question: can I safely use the x-load without frying something? Or do I just buy another load box?
cheers,
phil
