I've got a Matrix power amp and 2 Marshall 1960B cabs on order and had a question. I'm going to run my Axe-FX II in stereo with this rig, left to one 4x12, right to the other 4x12.

However, I'm planning on stacking the cabs instead of going side-by-side (I like the look of a full-stack, what can I say.) Will this cabinet set-up sound strange or will it even be noticeable?

Thanks

Well, my Matrix and 1960B's arrived so I've answered my own question: it sounds awesome, no weirdness. Since the cabs are at such close proximity (stacked, even) I guess the stereo effect is diminished.

By the way, if anyone is on the fence about using a Matrix power amp and Marshall 1960 cabs with their Axe-Fx II....go for it. Just turn off the cab modeling and it's a winner. Clear, brutal, tight, thick, and LOUDER THAN HELL! I can feel the thump and sound waves flowing through my body. Playing old Metal Church, Megadeth, Slayer, Laaz Rockit, Judas Priest, et al. has become a religious experience! \m/
