Working on some Gary Moore tones

Very nice Ian, what amp sim did you use - the Plexi Normal? any Drive pedal - sounds really good...

Afraid to say it's the normal setup again Tony, Plexi Normal,Super OD, some chorus,reverb and delay.
Def gonna try some new stuff, used to love the Texas Star and the HBE's.
Just not digging anything too heavy at the moment. The Plexi just seems very dynamic for those pickups.

It's just the Plexi Normal but i might have tweaked it a little, I'll have a look at it tomorrow night for u guys and post

Nice playing, there's some nice Gary licks in there

As for the tone, I do not think, it is all the way there. Of course, Gary's tones has changed over the years. My reference Gary Moore tone is something like this

I think, it has less low end and is a bit more nasal (high midrange) than your tone. And the tone as a whole is a bit more aggressive sounding. FWIW, I have been most happy with my Gary tones running a tube screamer and a compressor in front of the amp - I do not know, if Gary ever did anything like that.
