Wireless FC For Axe-Fx III with Blueboard

I used the Yamaha MD BT01 to make it wireless. The Bandhelper app to create the midi messages and the Irig BlueBoard to send. Just wanted to show it could be done.

Bandhelper (Setlist Maker) is great! basically using it as the Bluetooth interface to transmit simple messages from the BlueBoard to the Axe.

for those new to performance, a wired connection is always more stable than wireless, so this is cool and can work in many situations. but if you rely on things, wired is almost always a better choice. professionals - ranging from weekend warriors to touring arena gods - use wired wherever possible. (i have gig horror stories to share, but that's for later.)

i can just see a bunch of "if this works, why isn't the FC wireless?" questions coming this is a great use of tech and can be beneficial in many situations.

Agreed on using a wired connection for gigging! I wouldn't be afraid to use it in low key rehearsal.

I have had the blueboard disconnect a couple of time for mysterious reasons.
