Will This MIDI Foot Controller Work With Axe-Fx III? (Yamaha MFC05)

I have a Yamaha midi foot controller from the late 80's and I am considering using it until the FC-12 is released.

I'll have to look when I get home but I think it's the Yamaha MFC05.

Will this unit work? (Shows how much I know about MIDI, huh?)

Very limited controller. It can send only 10 (fixed) Program Changes, which means that you can only select the first 10 presets on the III.

MIDI PC Mapping on the III would allow more fubnctionality, but not a lot and it's complicated to understand / set up.

As a simple controller a Morningstar MC6 offers more functionality.

The Yamaha might suffice. My thought being I could select presets 1-10 with the Yamaha and then use switches to select scenes.
It's very limited but I'm not gigging right now so it's not critical to have full functionality.

There is no reason why it shouldn’t work with the III.
