Will MIDI 2.0 - Require Axe-Fx III redesign soon?

Curious if the MIDI 2.0 protocol will require a new version of the box, or can a software update, or bolt-in module do the trick if we want to utilize the great new technology coming in the near future??

Not sure what it has would benefit the product honestly. Think this stuff would mainly benefit keyboardists more.

Midi should have gone out the door years ago. It’s far inferior to OSC. But, that never happened.

More than likely it would be a firmware update or a USB passthrough to a hardware box that converts current to nextgen, which is unlikely to ever happen anyway.
I was hoping for OSC as well to replace MIDI generally but oh well.
