Hi all.. been reading up on the manual. My new unit should be here within hours, and I'm trying to figure out how best to configure it.

Historically I've done .. guitar -> presonus channel strip -> maudio fw410 -> DAW

With Axe it seems I can either go:

guitar -> Axe -> DAW

or

channel strip -> Axe -> DAW

Anyone else do the latter for higher input signal (which is why I had it around previously)?

Hi, you really shouldn't have to preamp your guitar through the channel strip...just plug into the instrument jack on the front and you should be good to go.
