Which Amp Model is closest to Mesa Rectoverb?

I have to record my band mate's guitar parts for our upcoming release using my Axe Fx instead of his traditional rig. I am going to have to try to dial in "his" tone and he normally uses a Mesa Rectoverb 50W combo and I'm wondering what Amp would be recommended as a good starting point for both the clean and highgain tones. Thanks in advance guys...

Those are similar in sound to a Dual rectifier, but they don't have a tube rectifier. Try the USA lead and USA clean and lower the bass controls and change the rectifier.

I'm assuming probably the Recto amps if you lower the power supply sag quite a bit. That's what I do and it tightens it up a bit, much like you'd get with a solid state rectifier.

Yep, lower the supply sag on a recto.

I owned a 2-channel, in fact it was my main amp for over a decade (even in my avatar). I currently own a Roadster, I've played plenty of 3Channels and plenty of RectoVerbs.

However, I'm not an amp tech, so take this opinion with a grain of salt.
