Which Amp Control is best to mimic a Solid State Rectifier -or a- Tube Rectifier ?

Hey all

=> is there a specific switch or control in an XL running FW 8.02 to mimic the effect of running a "stiffer" Solid State rectifier compared to a "spongier" Tube Rectifier ?

Thanks,
Ben

I always cut the supply sag value in half when using Recto 2 which tightens it up a little bit. Not sure how the Variac parameter works, though. Would you set it higher or lower to simulate the solid state rectifier sound?

Variac would just be for the spongy/bold setting. I think cliff said it was a variac set at around 90 volts or so? I forget the exact voltage.

Bold is just leaving default settings
