When using a SS Power Amp(such as matrix) into a guitar Cabinet, not FRR, with the AxeFx, do you turn off PowerAmp modeling?
The POwerAmp modeling is half the sound of any amp, if not more, are you suppose to sacrifice it for the transparent tone iff the Mtrix?
How do you go about it?

Thanks.

I don't even turn off the cab sims when using the Matrix. I did when I was using a solid state Marshall 8008 poweramp, but the Matrix sounded like shite when I used those same presets, so I added the cab blocks back in.

You would only turn off Poweramp modelling if you were going into a poweramp which is designed to add colour (typically something like into the effects return of a head etc)

If you're going into a guitar cab (not FRFR) then not having a cab block would be the norm, but I'd suggest trying both and seeing what works for you
