So what tones do you want to match first? Here's my rather brief list...

I have the isolated tracks to dream theaters black clouds and silver linings album and also on the backs of angels, so probably them :)

I'm sure I'll be trying my favorite tones, especially if they're isolated.

Here's a quick rundown off the top of my head:

Eric Johnson lead on Cliffs of Dover (intro), clean tone on various tunes
SRV rhythm/lead circa Couldn't Stand the Weather
Alex Lifeson on Spirit of Radio, Limelight, La Villa Strangiato
Jimmy Page - Heartbreaker, Whole Lotta Love, Ten Years Gone
Adam Jones - Jambi
Brian May - multiple
David Gilmour - multiple
Joe Bonamassa - multiple

Depending on how labor intensive the process is, I could see myself going crazy and putting together a comprehensive list of all my favorites tunes/tones. If it takes a lot of work, I'll probably stick to my top 5 or so (or just copy them from others who already did all the work)

Ultimately I only play a couple of tones most of the time, but it would be nice to have these at the push of a button or pedal.
