What settings you use on the Plexi 2204?

Interested on what settings you guys use on the Plaxi 2204 since it's quite different than the other Plexis? BTW looking for a classic early 80's tone.

Is there not a 100w in there? 6550's will probably get you clostest.

The 6550 is in itself a 50 watt amp too

I was referring to the tube type of 6550, sorry. Put two KT88's or two 6550's in a head and you're getting around 90W. I'm sure a plexi would be no different. My '83 2203 with EL34's benched 130W.

If you want it to sound bigger, switch to the bigger tubes (and play with sag and other values).

Definitely this, then reduce Bass/Mid/Treble etc to taste.
