My sis sent me a text asking me what this was and I am at a loss. Kind of steel guitarish but not. Can anyone help me out?

I saw Stevie Wonder play Superstitious live and he appeared to be playing something like this to create the funky line at the heart of the song - could that be the same instrument?

I literally just saw that on The Voice last night (recorded from when I'm not sure).

I thought it was a Harpejji but wasn't sure...

I looked into them a while back because I think that they are really cool... But the cheapest model is something like $1800!
