I'm completely stumped. What kind of guitar is this?

They all look like they have hipshot bridges, so I don't think it's one

My guess (and it's just a guess) is that it's a one-off. I don't know of any builder who puts the controls that close together.

Got it from a local guy. Supposedly endorsement fodder and he's wanting to trade some stuff. My gut is saying it's a hose job and I'm really not in the mood for a scammer.

Anyway, the guitar is very intriguing...so I thought I'd throw the pick up and see what stuck.

He didn't. I think the guy is scamming or was high and doesn't remember anything.

I know you have to make a slight alteration to your imitations of brand guitars for legal reasons, and that its even better to develop your own artistic vision. But there's hit, there's miss, and there's just plain fugly.
