The axe-fx II will:
replace my amplitube 3 (yuk) for practice
support my voxad120vt w/V30s, maybe I'll replace it. gotta try it first.
My vox tonelab SE will go from sounding shit trough PA, downgraded to a midi-footcontroller-slave. (Muhaha! Oh how I am evil.)
Guess I can get rid of a zoom something-606 (worst thing ever made) (Maybe I'll THROW IT ON THE GROUND!!!)

At least i'm getting there with the axe-fx 2. What more do you need right? Oh yeah, another one.. and another one.. and.. I'm done.

I use to have a 24 space rack full in the front and about six slots used in the rear, all full of gear.

Now I have a 12 sp rack with a 3 space drawer to put the MFC-101 in, so I'm down to 9 spaces of gear from about 30.

You sold a 2120 to get a GT-8? The 2120 was pretty decent little processor. I bought one back in '99 and had it for a few years. I have a similar gear selling story. I sold my D-two to get and M-2000 I always regretted that deal. The M-2000 was not suited well for preset changes.

What it is definitely replacing:

-TC Electronic G System and the myriad of connector cables, hum eliminators, input boosters, drive pedals, TRS cable snakes, etc. that I ultimately had to buy to make it sound the way I wanted

Haven't decided if it's replacing:

Mesa Mark V
Mini Amp Gizmo
 
mine's not going to replace anything...
I'm thinking about slotting it in with the VG-99..
both units have a great deal to offer.. so together I'd imagine I'd have a great deal of tonal scope available..
to be honest what I finally decide to do really depends upon how they react together from a control standpoint..
