What do you think about this possible rig?

Hi dear AX8 friends, right now I'm exploring the possibility of a new rig configuration.

AX8 => Seymour Duncan Power Stage 170 => BareFaced Reformer 112

The BareFaced cabs seems to be a great new design to maximize the sound of a guitar cab.
I don't know how this will work, but I have good espectations.

I'm planning to use the Celestion Neo Creamback to have the lightest cab in 1x12.

Right now I'm using the AX8 into the return of my Mesa Boogie Mark V 35, it sounds pretty good, but it's a little directional, so my gas is killing me again. LOL

Check if the amp has enough power, It quotes 170W but that is at 4 Ohms, your cab has a 8 Ohm speaker, so the power will be more like 90 W or so, which is low for a solid state power amp

I just read a few reviews - most people seem happy that it's loud enough, except maybe for very loud metal bands

For the cost of the Seymour Duncan amp you could get a budget model QSC or Crown amp (in stereo) with much more power - around 300 W per channel, which would be a better option.

They are rack mount units, so you can't put them on your pedalboard but I'd prefer the amp mounted over on top of the speaker cab out of the way, and then you can run a short speaker lead to the cab, and run an XLR over to the amp.

I just received two days ago my Barefaced Reformer with a V30 speaker.....it is indeed loud as faawwk everywhere in the room...haven’t used it with any FAS gear yet, just through my Guytron FV-100 head , with and without OX box. ...and it is still light enough for me to easily lift with one old, weak hand........

Please tell us more of the speaker with the FAS gear

Until I get a proper power amp..I’m stuck with my (awesome) real Guytron amp for use with the Reformer. ...but I do have my FX8 in the Amp’s loop and it is great...the speaker does seem to respond very well at lower volumes as well.
