What do you run between your guitar and the AxeFx?

When running traditional amps I always ran a Zvex SHO and a few pedals. I've been able to replicate all the pedals and yesterday threw the SHO in front of the AxeFx just for the hell of it. Boom! Even with the volume at its lowest setting, a part of what I've been missing in my sound has returned.

Wondering what everyone else is using in their signal chain?
 
I have a Rocktron Banshee talk-box between my guitar and my AxeFxII. The talk box is the only effect that I like that the Axe won't do.

Does it really? I'll need to pull out my super hard on and give it a try (giggle). That little magical box used to be a main part of my tone. I wonder if the same effect can be dialed in on the Axe…maybe by raising input trim?
