What are your fave bass factory presets?

As a Fractal newbie I would like to use my AXE FX for bass also but with all the crazy amp names in the factory presets I have no clue which are for bass.I'm an 80's metal Ampeg SVT fan if that helps.Cheers!

Then SV Bass is your first stop!

If you want bass presets axechange is your best bet, most downloaded bass patch is "Nolly Smacky Bass" that is modern voiced, SeeD's presets (and cabs) are a great source to start:

But you will be creating your own presets soon, I'm often do straightforward setups with 3 blocks: comp, amp and cab. It may seem simple but with the insane variety of the Axe I have to contain myself to stop tweaking and just play haha!

Here you have a great amps gallery by MDProd user:
https://forum.fractalaudio.com/threads/fas-amps-models-gallery-more-qu-8-02.105944/
Bass amps are: 6G12 Concert, 59 Bassguy, 65 Bassguy Bass, Citrus Bass 200, FAS Bass, SV Bass, USA Bass 400 1&2
But don't be afraid to experiment, there are some guitar amps/preamps that works well with our 4 strings beasts, Band-Commander, Tube Pre and CAE+Clean were a nice find for me!

Also I may suggest an amp & cab quick reference guide by jma that is very handy:

Factory cabs for bass are 32, 33, 66-68, 99 and 109-113

And Yek's amps guide for lazy afternoons on the couch:

I know there's a lot of info, take it easy man!

The mighty SVT is in the amp collection, as you probably know. i suggest you build your own rig by putting the SVT in the amp block, and then try the different cabs to find one that suits. You can also use 2 cabs such as 4x10 (like the real SVT cab) combined with a 15 for even deeper bottom.

Just went thru all my factory presets 3 times and did not see SV Bass in there.
It's not a preset, it's an amp model. Edit the Amp block and flip through the Type parameter until you find the SV.

OK.......when I do it your way it is preset #222.Why when I open my presets normally it is not there????
Presets are made up of multiple blocks connected together. One of those blocks is the Amp block. The Amp block has lots of amp types you can choose from. One of those types is the SV.

The factory presets are just a collection of presets that Fractal built out of blocks. Take any preset, edit the Amp block, and choose the SV amp type. Voila! The preset just became an SV preset. And it'll stay that way...if you Save it before you go to another preset.

Spend some time with the Introduction section of the manual. All will be revealed. ;)
