I frequently respond to spam calls in not-English if it is a human and not a recording, as I speak enough of a number of different languages to get through a telephone greeting, and they generally hang right up if it's not English.

I always answer wait for someone to pickup then with a dark whisper "The job is done and I want the rest of the payment in cash and if you don't pay me I will be coming for you" then hang up.
