Wet/Dry/Wet setup possible?

Yeap! Exactly!

Only problem, as you point out, is that when you use the FX Loop send instead of the out on your mesa, what is returning to the FX8 is only the sound of the pre... Not sure if it is THAT big of an issue but I will have to try it out
