Weird guitar picking techniques

My wrong picking technic is close to James Hetfiled's, what's yours ?

Yea I’ve blocked this dumbasses videos from my YouTube feed. His thumbnails alone are enough to make me want to give him a shot of T. Needs to lay off the soy lattes and lay on a woman.

Ola Englund and Bulb hold the pick like salt bae, plus Ola angles it leading-edge up...the same angle Marty Friedman does it with a limp wrist, but Ola does it while palm muting.

I used to pick like ola until he posted a video of it somewhere and I realized I was holding it backwards. Now I hold it what I think is the ‘normal’ way and I have a hard time going back. I will say that the backwards angle made triplets and tight palm mutes super easy, but now it tired my muscles out too fast and starts to hurt.

There was an old Guitar for the Practicing Musician magazine article from Reeves Gabrels that talked about "outside" techniques for generating notes on a guitar.

He taked about using among other things :

• Ridged edge of a coin
• Hitting the string with the eraser side of a pencil
• Feminine massage product

He mentioned some other objects and techniques to use, but I can't recall. The pencil and coin are pretty cool.

I play with thumb and fingers so much now that I find it awkward to even hold a pick
