wanting to get feedback on a classic sound.

Hey, normally I use a high gain amp and play loud through my CLR's and have no trouble getting feedback but when I use an older Marshall type amp to get an ACDC classic rock sound I can't get the feedback. Traditionally I would be cranking it very loud and just turn around and feedback off my stack but with FRFR I can't seem to get this even when its loud. Is it just an FRFR thing or is there another way to achieve this? I know the amount of gain probably has something to do with it. Thanks

Yeah I've noticed that acoustic feedback is a bit tougher to get with my CLR as well. Seems like SPL's have to be a bit higher compared to regular cabs or I have to stand closer to the cab. I'd guess maybe it's the wider dispersion pattern of the CLRs and the way they project into the room. I've noticed that some IR's feedback more than others too, so maybe it's a cab resonance thing.

I turned on the sat switch and it helped so more gain is what I think I needed.

Do you have the Gate off? I find that an aggressive Gate can sometimes prevent singing feedback.
