I remember talking with Matt from Matrix in NAMM last January, he said he was working on a very light weight 2X12" and a 1X12" cab.
I just saw a pic from Dweezila and notice Tom Quayle putting his hands on it...man that looks small....very cool!!! :pride:
more info on it at Products :: Matrix

I picked up that cab today. Actually I picked up two at once. They are so light they feel like they are empty.

Matt was going to set it up for me to try out but we ran out of time before the firework show. Hopefully tomorrow.

that is soooo cool looking....

and for all the guys interested in the 2x12 asking "can it do stereo?"
I'd say that a pair of 1x12's would be a very solid solution...

can't wait to hear a pair of these....

from their website...Fitted with traditional guitar speakers and weighing in at only 13kg ( 30lb )

Not these. FRFR 2x12 comes later i hope (guess).
But 1x12 at 7 kg. With a GT1000 (3.7 kg)...

Even with 2 1x12, poweramp, cables and AXII it would be lighter than my 2x12 (one of them!!)

So its not FRFR?

the FRFR 1x12 is the Q12

I know the 2x12 [the one in the pic] is not FRFR

I've tried one..
it sounds utterly superb...
a great big thick tone..
you have to keep reminding yourself that it's a 2 and not 4x12..
cos it don't sound the way you'd expect from it's look and physical size..
kinda breaks your preconceptions..

weighing less than 7kg ( 16lb )

16lbs seems about right for the 1x12. It is REALLY light.

I never got time to put it through its paces at Dweezilla but I heard it in use. It sounds pretty good. When you factor in the weight it is amazing.

Two NL12 is parallel will present a 4 ohm load. Provided your head is happy with 4 ohms then you will be fine :) - and very loud whilst still able to lift both cabs in one hand.
My best regards
Matt

Now you can order these: NL12 Neolight Cab :: Matrix

From the clips the cab sounds great!

This Cab is rated 60W RMS
My tube head is 100W, can I run 2 NL12 Cabs parallel in 4ohm?
